Port Harcourt — Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s fuel subsidy policy, labeling it as “haphazard and disingenuous.”

Abubakar in his verified X handle, attributed the current economic crisis in Nigeria to mismanagement which he claims has exacerbated soaring inflation rates.

He expressed concern that the escalating inflation rate was severely impacting Nigerians’ well-being, and it’s even more worrying that President Tinubu, whom he nicknamed “T-Pain,” seems unfazed by the hardship.

The nickname “T-Pain” has gained traction on social media, symbolizing the widespread discontent with the President’s response to the economic hardship in the country.

Atiku said, “The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country.

“As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country,” the former Vice President tweeted.
