Job Summary

Provide production operations well support in Bakken area. Success in this role will find meaningful ways to: reduce downtime, increase system reliability, maximize production, and reduce costs.  This position is located in the Williston, ND area. The position will report to the Artificial Lift Tech Supervisor. This position is eligible to work a 9-80 compressed work week schedule or traditional 5-day, 40 hour work week schedule.

 

Essential Job functions and Responsibilities

• Artificial Lift (Beam Lift, Gas lift, ESP and Plunger Lift) Optimization.

• Troubleshoot, program, and maintain all Lufkin SAM, and XSPOC rod pump controllers

• Obtain, analyze and record fluid levels. Adjust lift systems accordingly.

• Analyze all failures and participate in failure analysis meetings.

• Input of failure information into Openwells

• Manage and solve production issues on problem wells.

• Work with Lease Operators to troubleshoot and return wells to production.

• Work with chemical program and participate with chemical meetings.

• Communicate with Engineers

 

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of lease operator and/or workover experience

• Good computer skills required for planning, communicating, monitoring, and failure analysis

• Knowledge of surface & subsurface beam pumping, ESP, and Gas compression

• Strong gas lift experience ideal

• Experience with Echometer Well Analyzer is beneficial

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Willing to work and collaborate in group setting

• Should be self-driven and to perform duties with minimal supervision.

• High degree of initiative and independent judgement

 

Education

High School Diploma or higher education
