Job Profile Summary:

The Assistant Foreman DSC Production is responsible for assisting in coordinating the day to day operations of DSC production personnel. The role assists with budget review and monitoring, production review and monitoring, troubleshooting of wells, and analysis of mechanical failures. The role leads & supports in identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement, and implements measures to enhance overall DSC production performance. The role assists in enforcing safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment, conducting regular safety inspections, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate hazards. The role provides performance and salary reviews of personnel and takes disciplinary action if necessary. The role supports continuous personal development to ensure progression of technical and leadership skills as well as enable overall development of the team.

Job Description:

  • Supervises and coordinates daily DSC production tasks, ensuring efficient and compliant operations in line with safety and environmental standards.
  • Assists in ensuring DSC production analyst is communicating necessary alarms and notifications to the operators and is completing daily tasks.
  • Participates in improvement opportunities in DSC production, cost efficiencies, and/or other problem areas (i.e., artificial lift mechanical problems and optimization, electrical troubleshooting, and chemical use, etc.), taking necessary action as needed.
  • Supervise hiring, training and mentoring of operators and support performance development, training plans, feedback and coaching.
  • Utilizes the organization’s lease profit and loss statements and other sources of data as part of the identification of opportunities and provides recommendations to the Foreman and Operations Engineer in the areas requiring engineering support and/or analysis.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state/province and federal regulations, maintains regulatory compliance, and applies company policies throughout the team’s operations.
  • Promotes best practices, resolving issues, and developing staff to ensure safe, ethical, and effective work practices.
  • Assists in leading the analysis of real-time data to optimize production efficiency in well operations and in overseeing the optimizing and troubleshooting of well parameters for automated wells.
  • Supports in analyzing DSC production budgets to ensure adherence to financial targets and in monitoring expenditures related to DSC production activities to identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Provide direction to team members emphasizing environment/health/safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost value, and morale wellness.
  • Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and alignment wellness.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education and/or commensurate work experience is required. Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or any other related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Production, Completions/ Workover Processes, and Artificial Lift, Rod Pump, Gas Lift, and/or Plunger Lift Operations. or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
