Our client is a leading organisation operating within the Building Services industry on Malta.  Specialising in M&E contracting, facilities management etc, this organisation strives to deliver quality on every project whether it be installation or maintenance.

 

A motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager is now required to work with the Operations Manager. Ideally the successful individual will be capable of managing full or part sites overseeing a team of electrical and mechanical installers to ensure timely execution of project within budget.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan all resources before works, ensuring all the shop drawings, materials, tools and equipment are available for project start
  • Liaise with internal departments required in project execution
  • Attend regular meetings with clients
  • Work with bill of quantities ensuring programme of works and labour budget are aligned
  • Ensure team members are working on the latest drawings
  • Supervise team to ensure time and quality standards are maintained
  • Finalise projects within the stipulated deadline and budget whilst keeping the quality up to standard;
  • Mark-up of as-fitted drawings and BOQ as required
  • Ensure labour and material waste is minimised
  • Ensure strict H&S rules and regulations are followed by the team
  • Place any internal orders for consumables related to the projects being assigned
  • Complete weekly GRNs and timesheets

 

Talent will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building services sector, ideally on industrial and commercial M&E installations
  • Demonstrate experience leading a team of tradesmen on installation projects
  • Be excellent client facers with the ability to communicate well with subcontractors, engineers and other stakeholders
  • Have excellent organisation and management skills on site and be capable of maintaining accurate filing systems
  • Have excellent knowledge of Autocad and must be able to read Drawings and Electrical Schematics;
  • Have experience working with MS office packages
  • Possess a strong commitment to quality, workplace safety and customer satisfaction.
