DESCRIPTION:
As an Assistant Service Manager, reporting to The Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

- Maintain and foster contacts with facilities operations, owners, consultants, contractors, vendors and material suppliers
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding some electrical engineering activities
- Interact closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs and objectives are met
- Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction
- Coordinating meetings, scheduling updates, submitting deliverables and addressing outstanding ‘open items’ as requested by clients
- Preparation of look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports
- Reviewing and monitoring job costs versus budgets
- Keeping emphasis on the client, develop an understanding of the client’s culture, key people and processes
- Provide guidance and direction for estimators during the estimation process
- Manage and assist project layout and coordination
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
- Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a project
- Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as required to meet project construction goals
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Responsible for all financial reporting, tracking and projection of all labor, material, job expenses and changes for each project assigned
- Maintain all submittal, drawing, correspondence, and change logs
- Submit, review for added cost, file and log all RFI’s
- Prepare, organize, and manage material buyouts
- Track major deliveries to jobsites
- Actively assist project Superintendent (PS to Lead Technician) with all miscellaneous issues as necessary (Material, information, special items, constructability, etc)
- Weekly jobsite visits and attend all jobsite meetings as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of service experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Service Manager experience preferred
- Leadership experience required
- Electrical License required
