Work Schedule:  14 on/14 off

Summary

Inspect, analyze, test, measure, repair, and perform full or partial overhauls on any of the assemblies and sub-assemblies of well control equipment.  Perform disassembly and reassembly (Inframe/Outframe) to restore equipment to pristine condition.  Ensure that all tools and test equipment are fully serviceable prior to the start of repair work and are fully accounted for after each repair. 

Responsibilities   

• Review and discuss work order requirements with the foreman.  Document/photograph the current condition of equipment and/or sub-assemblies prior to commencing repairs
• Inspect equipment to troubleshoot components that might have caused the problem
• Perform all tests and repairs in strict compliance with the equipment manufacturer’s service manual and bulletins
• Inspect parts for wear and replacement to prevent equipment failures
• List parts to be replaced referring to manufacturer’s manuals and diagrams
• Present job hours/cost estimates and parts replacement for approval
• Upon approval of work, perform necessary adjustment, repair, or overhaul
• Perform post-overhaul/repair checks for leaks or malfunctions
• Document inspections, test results, repair work done, and parts replaced for proper billing and record upkeep
• Attention to detail is critical: must be proactive, meticulous, organized, work independently, and take ownership of duties.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task, find solutions, and establish priorities.

Knowledge & Skills

Experience

• 3 years experience working with drilling rig equipment

Education

• High school diploma/GED Completion
