Business Development Manager – Plastics/Solids Waste (Remote)

Our client’s focus lies at the intersection of water management, renewable energy, and resource recovery. Their team delivers cutting-edge technologies that harness renewable and waste energy sources, driving thermal conversion processes for a cost-effective and sustainable impact in the waste industry.
What You Will Do:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our client’s presence in the solid waste industry, with a particular emphasis on plastics waste conversion. Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with industry stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, managing the proposal lifecycle, and driving sales growth through consultative selling of our advanced technologies and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Commercial Opportunities: Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in the solid waste industry.
Consultative Selling: Conduct on-site visits, offering solutions through our innovative Build-Own-Operate services.
Strategic Planning: Craft and execute growth strategies for market penetration in the solids waste sector.
Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals and presentations that communicate value to customers.
Sales Process Management: Guide prospects through the sales cycle, showcasing our thermal conversion technology.
Industry Expertise: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to maximize sales potential.
Market Penetration: Expand market share by deepening relationships with existing and potential business partners.
What You’ll Need:
Proven success in technical sales, particularly within the solids waste industry.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Existing relationships and contacts in the solid waste sector.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Chemistry, or similar preferred).
Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and negotiation skills.
Strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
