The position
By joining our Commercial Operations Products’ team within Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
Actively execute and optimise the sale and purchase plan and ensure flow assurance of global operations connected to waterborne refining products in and out of our processing facilities, storage units and terminals. In practical terms you will be responsible for the life cycle of the commercial deal.
Manage all aspect of cargoes under your responsibility, including cargo and voyage orders, nomination processes, bunkering orders and blending activity while timely dealing with challenges related to cargo instructions or quality issues.
Develop and maintain working relationships with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, including traders, charterers, terminals, refineries, customers, agents and inspectors, covering optimisation and transportation of products worldwide.
Manage processes to ensure that operations from suppliers, processing plants and storage facilities are documented in-line with internal procedures and regulatory reporting towards governments and agencies.
Provide support to projects and stakeholders from the perspective of operations; taking into account regulations and sustainability data.
Support activity across the Nordics and Europe, and work in close cooperation with our Singapore and North America offices.
Be a part of a highly collaborative team that enables safe, efficient, sustainable, and profitable flow assurance, with digitalisation, regulations, and compliance at the core.
Participate in the teams on-call duty through shift work (7 days on call every 5 to 6 weeks or so).

For this position, we are also looking for:
Candidates with a minimum Bachelor’s degree within Marine/Chemical/Business/Economics/Finance or other related subjects.
Experience in cargo or shipping operations, refining or logistics, with the ability to translate schedulers, planners and traders’ strategies into a successful operational plan.
A commercial mindset with an understanding of the drivers influencing trading profit and loss, critical thinking and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong people and communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate, and a professional level of English, both written and spoken.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
An interest in identifying where ways of working have potential to be improved and be an agent for change.
Experience with storage, handling and transport of bio-fuels would be advantageous.
