We are looking for a to join our team at Codification & Asset Data Specialist on an initial 6-month contract based in Westhill, Aberdeen.
Subsea7 are embarking on a SAP S4 Transformation programme which involves replacing the current ECC solution with SAP S4 Hana together with the associated business process changes across Finance, SCM and Asset Management.
Subsea7 now want to bring some Asset Management scope into the delivery timeframe of the overall S4 Transformation programme. Two additional projects have been approved to be delivered in parallel to the S4 programme:
- Equipment and Tools Management (ETM) system. Third party SaaS tool to be designed, tested and deployed on top of SAP S4 together with the Subsea7 System Integrator partner. ETM will be deployed globally and provide the management and tracking of our equipment across yards, vessels and projects.
- Material Codification. Third party AI-enabled SaaS tool to be designed, tested and deployed on top of SAP S4 together with the Subsea7 System Integrator partner. Tool will help create a material codification catalogue as well as assist in codifying any future free-text entries into S4.
The Data Specialist will provide Material Master Data Codification SME (data set, governance, processes) and will lead data workstreams for both projects, working closely with delivery partners, key business stakeholders and data owners to ensure that data-flows into and between the 3rd party solutions and S4 are successfully implemented.
The Data Specialist will report to the nominated Subsea7 Project Manager.
What will you be doing?
- Engage and coordinate the SI partner data team(s) to ensure that all required data flows are identified and successfully delivered
- Working with the project manager to plan and track all data deliverables to timescale and required quality
- Validation of data migration and integration strategy and approach
- Definition of data migration and integration plans
- Manage data cleansing activities to required quality and timescale
- Effective engagement of business stakeholders to support all data cleansing and data migration activities to realise a suitable outcome
- Own, manage and report on risks and issues across the data workstream to ensure the projects consistently deliver expected outcomes and benefits
- Ensure effective quality assurance across the data workstreams
- Facilitate and support data design workshops
What experience would we like you to have?

- Material Master Data management, codification, processes and governance
- Experience in managing data migration and integration projects through the full lifecycle – design, build, test, deploy and hypercare
- S4 Hana data migration experience advantageous
- Experienced in defining data migration and integration strategy and approach
- Current knowledge of SAP data model and data migration methodologies
- Demonstrate good knowledge of SAP data migration technologies
- Experience in data defect management processes
- Working knowledge in the functional areas of SCM and Asset Management
- Experience in managing data cleansing projects for ERP deployments
- Experience of working with and managing an SI partner
- Positive business influencing skills
- Good communications skills both verbally and written
- Pro-active, motivated, forward looking, collaborative, good analytical and problem-solving skill
- Good communication and negotiation skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders
- Knowledge of project management methods, such as PRINCE2 and PMP
