We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Advisor Commercial Strategy within our Supply Chain Commodities and Material Management team based in Houston, TX or Midland, TX. Company headquarters are located in Houston’s Greenway Plaza. This position will be supporting well servicing tubing operation programs across onshore business units.
Essential Job Duties
· Responsible for coordinating and streamlining forecasting activities for all Tubing needs.
· Collaborate and develop analytical forecasting techniques with operational planning teams to efficiently adjust forecasts in real time alongside schedule changes.
· Ensure forecasted needs are effectively communicated to suppliers and requirements are committed and available for tubing demand activities
· Perform competitive sourcing activities for new tubing requirements
· Manage company owned and committed distributor inventories from a utilization efficiency perspective.
· Develop sound material management practices for company inventories and pipe storage facilities.
· Create and or contribute to initiatives that result in tubular cost reduction opportunities
· Develop excellent supplier relationship management skillset with mills and distributors
· Exhibit gap analysis techniques to quickly identify deficiencies in the supply chain between distributor, mill, and logistical partners. Participate in mill technical reviews and tubular claim investigations
· Responsible as the Tubing Program Coordinator, which include streamlining & effectively optimizing the Oxy-managed tubing reclamation program. This includes, but is not limited to the following;
o Establish communication plan for the Tubing Program stakeholders
o Continually monitor, enhance, and develop KPIs & reporting to demonstrate tubing reclamation program success and savings
o Monitor and control continued efficacy of the Program with regular review meetings with internal stakeholders & third-party service providers
o Understand the logistics scheduling process and help to optimize
o Understand the Tubing Program materials management & IronSight logistics app processes and help to optimize
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required; Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business or an Engineering discipline preferred
· Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil/Gas industry with Operator, Service or Engineering Company, or 3 years of experience in OCTG mill or distribution operations.
· Strong analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence change and return value
· Exhibit combination of tactical, sourcing, and inventory management skillsets
· Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
· Proven ability to assess, prioritize and respond to urgent situations on a timely basis
· Ability to communicate and influence total cost decision making to key stakeholder
· Must be adaptable and focused in a rapidly changing environment
· Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Working experience with SAP is a plus
Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is up to 25%
