Job Opportunity: Completions Engineer (Offshore) – Contract Basis

Role: Completions Engineer

Location: Offshore

Start Date: 14th June

Rotation: 2/2


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Completion Activities:
    • Collate supporting documentation for project stages as directed by the Completions Lead.
    • Study and review relevant drawings, scope of work, specifications, and schedules.
  • Work Sequencing:
    • Ensure sequencing of work meets the agreed schedule under the direction of the Completion Lead.
    • Liaise with the Completions and Commissioning Manager to understand and follow the commissioning sequence and system boundaries.
  • Completions Procedure:
    • Work in conjunction with the Commissioning Manager, QA/QC Leads, and Construction Superintendents to understand and implement the completions procedure.
    • Act as the focal point for implementing and managing the Completions System.
    • Populate the Completion System Database accurately and adequately.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Provide accurate and timely reports to demonstrate compliance with construction phases.
    • Review and process standards of completed documents from the field.
    • Ensure punch lists are documented, categorized, and actioned in a timely manner.
    • Register TQs / ECNs against associated sub-systems and update system limits as needed.
  • Handover Documentation:
    • Produce and collate required handover dossiers for each project stage.
    • Ensure final as-built revisions are stored in Aconex document management.
  • Training and Support:
    • Develop and deliver training and support to users of the completion system.
    • Ensure robust training and data input quality for users.
    • Interface with engineering, systems, and document control teams to ensure coordinated and validated data transfer and deliverables.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Promote and support the implementation of project safety culture, practices, and procedures.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation and guidelines.
  • Client and Supplier Communication:
    • Communicate professionally with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Suitable HSE qualification or relevant experience.
    • Relevant qualification or experience in a similar role.
    • Experience in QA/QC and Commissioning.
    • Background in renewables, Oil & Gas, or Engineering industries.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proven experience managing and operating proprietary Completion Software Systems (e.g., Smart Completions, PIMS CMS, GoTechnologies, WinPCS).
    • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to read technical drawings.
    • Experience with completions management system databases.
  • Certifications:
    • BOSIET, MIST, and Medical certifications.

  • Ability to manage workload within agreed timescales.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in administration duties.
  • Active promotion and support of safety culture.
