Contract Engineer – Offshore Wind Foundations

>> On Behalf of a Major Operator WRS are looking for a Contracts Engineer to work in Paris on a 12 month renewable contract with a long scope. <<

Start: ASAP
Working Pattern: 5 days a week 
Location: Paris Area 
Projects: Offshore Wind Foundations
Paying in: €
Passport: EU Passport needed 

Deliverables: 

1, Organise the market consultation & negotiate fabrication contracts (with capacity reservation) for offshore foundations / structures:

    • Prepare tender deliverables,
    • Administrate and run the call for tender,
    • Qualify suppliers,
    • Negotiate contractual terms and conditions / variations in agreements,
    • Present outcomes to management.

Deliverables: Memos/Presentation + Negotiated contracts (Agreement & Exhibit) for offshore wind foundation fabrication

2, Support the procurement strategy for OFW foundations

    • Consolidate market intelligence for this procurement segment
    • Consolidate supplier intelligence for foundations suppliers
    • Run multidisciplinary workshops (structural engineers, legal experts, project engineers)

Deliverables = Memos/Presentation

Main activities shall be manage like a project to execute (timelines, costs, quality, sustainability / HSE) in an international context.
Expected skills

3, Skills

  • Fair knowledge of energy-related challenges and industrial construction techniques.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work cross-functionally, flexibility.
  • Graduated from an engineering or business school – Bachelor’s degree as minimum.
  • Experience in complex construction contracts negotiation,
  • Proficiency in Power BI is welcome
  • English speaking is mandatory. French and Chinese is a plus.
  • Analytically and synthesis abilities, rigor.
  • Strong contractual background & skills
  • Robust understanding of industrial projects in Oil&Gas or Renewables energies.
  • Strong Knowledge in EPC / FIDIC contracts
  • Contractual and commercial negotiations with industrial equipment manufacturers and/or major construction project stakeholders.
  • Minimum 8/10 years of demonstrated experience in industrial procurement / contracts engineering, ideally in the energy sector
