About Houston
ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.
By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What role you will play in our team
- The Contract Manager has overall responsibility to implement and execute Category Strategy with commercial intensity through disciplined, development on commercial procurement plans tailored to either bid projects or targeted negotiations. They are responsible for design and execution of commercial actions. This position is responsible for a contract owners portfolio, interfacing with category managers, functional stakeholders and suppliers
- Location: Spring, TX (Houston Campus)
What you will do
- Developments scope of work for procurement activities based on business needs and incorporates Category strategic and commercial guidance into procurement processes
- Negotiates contract pricing and terms & conditions directly with suppliers while working with internal stakeholders, seeking lowest total system costs and appropriate mitigation of supply and legal risk
- Serves as primary point of contract for each agreement contract in portfolio.
- Executes PtP processes in full compliance with Sourcing & Acquisition Handbook and CIMS catalogs
- Fully leverages Procurement processes and tools to ensure most effective procurement method is utilized
- Maintains agreement portfolio: scope updates, pricing, Exhibits, amendments
- Ensures contract compliance and utilization- monitors supplier performance, Trouble shoots issues.
- Ensures transactional efficiency of agreements by leveraging systems
- Identifies business value and other opportunities within the portfolio
- Develops and maintains internal and external relationships to meet business line expectations
- Provides fit-for-risk process improvements and responds to business needs as needed
- Actively contribute to developing commercial skills within the category
- Create and maintain procurement records
- Leverage Category Total Cost of Ownership models to support commercial activity
- Develop strong technical knowledge of category
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
- Proven ability to identify and secure savings opportunities with suppliers
- Excellent negotiation experience, including terms and conditions
- Analytical skills with ability to understand Total System Cost evaluations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using data analysis tools and solutions for reporting and decision making.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to evaluate commercial opportunities within the context of overall business objectives
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, preference for Procurement negotiations.
- Experience within Warehousing, and/or Transportation Logistics procurement
- Strong understanding and application of total cost of ownership, and ability to derive total cost of ownership models and should cost models
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement / innovation
- Knowledge of purchase to pay processes (Buying, Contracting, Payables)
- Knowledge of basic to more advanced (e.g., performance based) commercial constructs with ability to effectively design and negotiate into a contract instrument
- Demonstrated experience in contract development, setup, and stewardship.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external parties
