As the Cost Leader – Inspection , you will drive deployment of quality fundamentals across Inspection to prevent and reduce Cost of Quality (CoQ), Customer impacting events and Customer escapes. leader will develop the global quality strategy to operationalize a zero-defect mindset while focusing on improving our quality management system and processes critical to product & service quality. To be successful, this leader will partner with senior leaders across all Inspection functions & SBU’s to drive a proactive quality culture transformation that embraces continuous improvement while improving fundamentals for process, product & service quality. In addition, this leader is accountable for maintenance and optimization of quality processes and procedures. This leader will establish the COQ quality system (i.e. weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews) to ensure execution of quality actions in line with expected business outcomes and targets. This leader will manage budgets, schedules, and workflows in the organization. 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Execution to the Inspection COQ Plan
  • Identification and Delivery of VCP (Variable Cost Productivity) savings and efficiencies
  • Cost of quality – Implementation & execution of COQ reduction projects (% COQ)
  • Warranty and Concession workflow cycle times – drive timely closure (Assessment to Closure)
  • TIL & Field Notification cycle times – drive timely closure (Assessment to Closure)
  • Non-Conformance management (Root cause identification to Implementation)
  • Annual standard cost update should evidence benefits from CoQ and VCP improvements
  • Margin (CM) expansion

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Have minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality or Improvement.
  • Ideally can communicate in German & English.
  • Be able to ensure all customer reports are issued and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills
  • Experience of working within a cross function matrix organisation  
  • Excellent organizational and Project management skills.
  • Ability to use business systems for data extraction and metrics.
  • Record of accomplishment of cycle time/turnaround time reduction applying simplification, Lean, VSM (Value Stream Map), methodologies and concepts with Facilitation of Kaizen Events approach to problem solving. Ability to educate teams with new concepts and methodologies.
  • Results driven, deadline orientated leader with passion, drive, and energy with ability to influence without authority in a multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment.
  • Have experience of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated Self-Starter, self-driven role model, working collaboratively with peers with excellent communication, influential and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills
