Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Deputy Decommissioning Project Leader, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

* Embed safety leadership best practice within the Project team, and wider Contractors workforce.
* Embed a collaborative working culture based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues to ensure a top quartile safety performance on the Gryphon Apha FPSO Decommissioning project with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure the interfaces between Project / Contractors / Gryphon Operations teams are successfully managed for efficient delivery of Project work scopes through strong behaviours, open and honest communication and active engagement with relevant parties around safety, quality, delivery and performance.
* Ensures employees, contracted staff and contractor personnel are competent, properly supervised and are aware of the relevant systems of work and procedures through the sharing of best practice and technical innovations.
* Support delivery of the project execution in compliance with the approved Decommissioning Plan, including all relevant Permits & Consents
* Responsible for ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with Company rules and Group specifications and where required, submit derogations with support from the company.
* Ensure decisions are made in full understanding of Asset integrity, Process & Functional Safety and Major Accident Hazard management, demonstrating to the wider business that risks from major accident hazards are being managed.
* Using appropriate control mechanisms, monitor and report on subsea progress against baselines, through engineering, flushing & riser disconnect, FPSO removal & sail away, and close-out phases, accountable for ensuring management of change is implemented for issues affecting the key dimensions of scope, schedule and cost.
* Ensure Project is delivered in compliance with the Project delivery process and that close-out is completed capturing Lessons Learned and REX’s.
* Ensure ‘best practices’ and technical innovations are implemented & shared with the wider TTE Group.
* Seek opportunities to minimise cost to company while maintaining safety.

Experience & Qualifications
* Degree in a recognised Engineering discipline and membership of relevant Professional Body (chartered engineer or equivalent).
* Demonstrable experience of relevant offshore project management skills (technical, planning, cost control, contracts…).
* Highly developed supervisory and people leadership skills
* In-depth knowledge of UK industry regulations
* Detailed understanding of offshore operations and project management
* Strong working knowledge of relevant regulation & legislation pertaining to decommissioning and recycling
* Highly developed communication and influencing skills with the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner
* Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally
