Development Engineer

We are looking for a Development Engineer to join the team at our Zoetermeer office. As a Development Engineer at Seaway7, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new operational methods and equipment in our daily offshore operations.

What you will be doing:

• You will analyse and prepare project specifications for the development of new operational methods and tools to support tenders and business development.
• Develop equipment to support our windfarm installation projects and vessels.
• Prepare plans and procedures for the use, installation and inspection of equipment and discuss these procedures with the project teams and (offshore) personnel responsible for the execution.
• During implementation support the crew when using this new equipment on board the vessels
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, crew, clients, and certification authorities.
• Assure all relevant safety standards and legal requirements are implemented.
• You will be supported to consolidate your engineering knowledge, including working knowledge of design codes and standards, legislative requirements, and current best engineering practice.
• Recognise the requirements for professional development and work to achieve development goals.

Our development engineers typically have a relevant Engineering degree (MSc or BSc) in Mechanical, Naval, Electrical, Aerospace or Civil engineering.

They are also expected to exhibit some of the following qualities and skills:

• Strong analytical skills and technical ability
• Flexible and progressive approach to designs, changes and developments
• Ability to communicate with impact.
• Comfortable working in a team, with high sense of responsibility
• Keep track of relevant technology developments
