DESCRIPTION:
As a BIM Technician, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
As a BIM Technician, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Create, modify, validate, and prepare detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet the project’s expectations
- Creates the detailed product drawings required for manufacturing
- Creates field install drawings for Operations team
- Has basic understanding of how to read and navigate Blueprint drawings
- Provides input to the project dashboard/tracking system
- Collaborates with the Operations team and BIM support lead to insure that detailing and installation practices utilize the most efficient and effective solution
- Collaborates with the Operations team and BIM support lead to review, evaluate, and maintain VDC deliverables
- Makes positive project outcomes measured in both labor efficiency and quality
- Manages the workflow of all tasks assigned
- Provides feedback to BIM lead and Supervisor to determine areas, systems, or assemblies that can be manufactured to improve efficiency during field installations
- Completes record drawings at the end of the project
- Able to work on different types of construction projects including but not limited to: commercial, mission critical, healthcare, industrial, and high rise
- Understands who their “customer” is, as it relates to project support
- Provides accurate timeline of efforts regarding all work packs to BIM project lead and/or Supervisor
- Able to identify and communicate potential installation clashes with other trades
- Able to read and understand submittals for physical equipment sizing and/or layout during modeling
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong BIM software experience or commercial field electrical experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
