Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide engineering support to offshore operation and to the modification and maintenance portfolio of GEA operations

Job Description

Accountability & End Result:

  • Responsible for engineering support to offshore operation and to the modification and maintenance portfolio of GEA operations
  • Responsible for monitoring equipment/system performance initiating and ensuring corrective actions
  • Responsible for defining equipment/system performance standards and specifications of new equipment
  • Responsible  for Technical Controlling Documents for engineering discipline

Assigned roles, responsibilities, procedures and other:

  • Responsible for providing engineering support to operation, modification projects and major development projects
  • Develop long term facility modification & maintenance plans/programs to ensure cost effective operation and asset integrity throughout facility lifetime, including Phase-out plan for facilities in operation
  • Ensure technical condition for equipment and systems is maintained within defined standards
  • Ensure optimized equipment and systems performance
  • Provide optimized preventive maintenance program for relevant equipment/systems
  • Ensure applicable standards, steering documents and regulatory requirements are followed
  • Responsible for providing input to and managing budget in accordance with target for assigned discipline
  • Responsible for technical evaluations, continuously challenging technical solutions, engineering performance and cost of modification projects
  • Deliver Project Proposal Form (PPF) for new modification projects
  • Responsible for participation in FEL activities and to provide support during projects execution phase
  • Ownership to Technical Controlling Documents for engineering discipline
  • Responsible for spare part management and warranty follow up
  • Provide input to planning and scheduling processes
  • Responsible for contract management
  • Provide technical input to the deviation process
  • Follow up of Research and Development projects

Required competency:

  • Technical University degree (BSc or higher)
  • 2+ years of relevant technical experience

Preferred competency:

  • Strong commitment to Company’s health, safety, environmental and quality processes
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Norway regulatory environment
  • Experience and ability to work in multidiscipline teams
  • Understanding of COP’s Corporate and good knowledge of local budget
  • Understanding of maintenance and project management processes and tools
