Description:

The Delaware emission team is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for the position of FLIR Technician. The primary duty of this position is to survey various types of equipment using Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) equipment throughout the Delaware Basin to identify, address, and resolve fugitive emissions related issues. In addition to survey duties, this role is responsible for inputting survey videos and submitting repair reports. Also, this position includes some responsibility for corrective maintenance activities, in collaboration with operations, i.e., working closely with vendors, contractors, regulatory support, and operations field staff.

This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Executing emissions corrective maintenance program including defect elimination process
  • Collaborating with key support groups and customers to ensure goal alignment with Asset & Operating Integrity (A&OI) program & Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement by developing new philosophies and maintenance tactics
  • Managing job assignments for contractors
  • Maintaining a close link on the planning and scheduling function driving strict discipline in observation of the various work schedules
  • Working with Operations to ensure accurate prioritization of work. Handling of change/risk assessment responsibilities
  • Leading the FLIR maintenance and reliability efforts within the asset to improve equipment reliability while focusing on the management of field maintenance activities
  • Leading and participating in incident investigations when needed
  • Driving contractor safety through HSE management system & contractor management, safety orientations and management reviews with vendors
  • Establishing procedures and guidelines and ensures that all work activities are performed according to the established procedures, guidelines, and schedules.
  • Documenting of emissions control
  • Conducting corrective and preventative maintenance for vent valves, thief hatches, etc
  • Operating fugitive emission detecting equipment such as the GF320, GFX320, GasFindIR HSX FLIR cameras and the (PHX21) gas detector
  • Conducting regulatory inspections of facilities, wellsite & plants record data into a software program
  • Generating quality check reports of FLIR data to ensure the information meets Regulatory tracking requirements and reconcile as needed
  • Compiling data to provide performance monitoring reports as needed
  • Submitting work request into SAP
  • Managing contract crews during repairs of equipment
  • Operating a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties in a safe manner
  • Collaborating with other groups such as, but not limited to, Corporate Regulatory group, Planning & Scheduling, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Projects, and Operations to foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Identifying and preserving sensitive and confidential information.
  • Reviewing vendor invoices and confirming correct charges for both rate and any performance metric corrections

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Current / Valid Driver’s License
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
  • Intermediate proficiency with SAP software
  • Willing and able to perform/align with following (with or without reasonable accommodation): Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions; Work in several different geographic locations throughout a single workday; Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle; Wear appropriate special safety equipment; bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull; Use hand tools to make minor repairs.
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis.

Preferred:

  • 3 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • 1 or more years of experience with regulatory fugitive emission inspection and AVO tracking programs
  • Ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to identify and understand the operation oilfield equipment
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
