Position Description:

Administering the day-to-day operation of ICT Infrastructure (Systems, servers, switches, radios, etc.) and Plant Network; providing technical support to end users; and supporting all ICT-based projects.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • System Administration: Ensuring system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards/ policies.
  • Server Administration: Administration of NAS, VMWare, VOIP, and Active Directory servers; Ensure adequate environmental conditions for the devices and servers.
  • Network Administration and Monitoring: Management and maintenance of all Layer 2 and 3 devices. Ensure network availability and quality of service.
  • UHF & VHF Radio Network Management: Manage UHF and VHF Radios at all asset locations.
  • User Support: Provide 1st & 2nd Level Support to Users; troubleshooting networking, hardware and software problems.
  • Backup: Performs data and server backup and administers software for disaster recovery
  • Reporting: Documentations on ICT devices, collate weekly status reports, status reports, and availability reports.
  • Project Support: Provide support for all ICT-related projects.
  • Other ICT duties as assigned by the ICT Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5 years of proven work experience in a comparable job is necessary
  • Additional Field certifications will be an added advantage

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Troubleshooting, End User Support, Remote Support
  • Windows 10 Pro, Microsoft 365 Professional, Microsoft Active Directory
  • Network Management

  • Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
