Job Description Airswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find an Engineering (Electrical) EIT to join their team in Chatham, ON. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. MUST HAVE qualifications: • A university degree in Electrical Engineering. • 1-3 years of experience with project management, electrical and controls system design • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal to internal and external audiences. • Facilitation, project management and analytical skills with the ability to establish good working relationships and communicate/work with employees at all levels of the organization • Analytical and problem-solving skills to advanced computer technology skills and able to learn new systems. • Some knowledge of relevant codes and standard Canadian Electrical Code(CEC), Electrical Safety Authority(ESA) and Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). • Passion for upholding company's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Inclusion. Accountabilities: Work in collaboration with Project Development Engineers and internal partners to develop optimized scope of work, high level preliminary facilities design with consideration given to operational and capital cost estimate. Provide oversight for Engineering Service Providers (ESP) including all design work, reviews, construction support, cost, schedule and scope management. Lead collaboration with key project partners including SMEs to ensure that engineering design details and design parameters are addressed in a thorough manner. Accountable to verify engineering designs, drawings and bill of materials to match the design intent while adhering to all internal and external standards, procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Review, clarify and approve design deviations and change orders for contractors through Request for Information (RFI) process to support construction team.
