Environment Supervisor
Are you passionate about environmental compliance and sustainability in large-scale infrastructure projects? We’re looking for an Environment Supervisor to ensure construction aligns with international standards and environmental best practices on an exciting oil and gas pipeline project.
📍 Location: Tanzania Field-based (rotational assignment)
📋 Contract Type: 12 months (renewable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor compliance with environmental commitments, including ESIA, ESAP, BAP, and ESMPs.
- Train, mentor, and guide site-based environmental teams to enhance skills and capacity.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and ensure contractors meet regulatory and project standards.
- Support sensitive construction activities, such as river crossings, to ensure environmental safeguards.
- Investigate environmental incidents and complaints, driving solutions and corrective actions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field (NEBOSH Diploma is a plus).
- Experience: At least 4 years in environmental supervision on major projects, ideally in oil and gas or construction.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of international standards (IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, ISO 14001).
- Proficiency in environmental management software and tools (e.g., MS Office, Power BI).
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Physical readiness for fieldwork in challenging terrain.
