This role is responsible for delivering technical solutions and advice on product design & development, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule and in line with company standards.

What will you be doing?

• Develop & analyse fabricated product designs, focusing on both economic efficiency & safety
• Perform mechanical design calculations and create mathematical models to inform design decisions
• Maintain accurate product documentation, including specifications, design & test procedures
• Provide technical advice on the application and proper use of products
• Ensure adherence to company engineering procedures and health & safety guidelnies
• Uphold company values of commitment, integrity, teamwork & drive

Minimum Job Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline is required
• Proficiency in software tools such as SAP/PLM, MathCad, AutoCAD and 3D CAD packages like Inventor is highly advantageous
• Previous experience of working with Fabrication Design methods OR experience as a Design Engineer with a background as a time served Welder/Fabricator.
• Strong communication & organisational skills
• Results orientated with a dependable work ethic
