Position title: Facilities and Local Content Specialist

Reporting Line: Country Managing Director

 

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Local Content and Comms

  • Prepare and issue to COMPANY for review a Local Content Plan.
  • Prepare proposals to reflect Subsea7’s longer-term local development plan beyond the Sakarya Phase 2 Project.
  • Become familiar and ensure adherence to all COMPANY local content requirements in the Phase 2 Contract – especially in Section VI – HSSES Requirements.
  • Ensure that a process is in place and is followed to consider Turkish suppliers and Turkish personnel if their goods and services are competitive, technically, commercially and legally compliant and allow timely and efficient execution of the WORK and achieving the COMPLETION DATES.
  • Assist Local HR Team if requires in advertising suitable available positions in local and regional media, use local recruitment agencies and engage in other similar activities, so as to provide the opportunity for local people to access employment opportunities created by the Project. In so doing, CONTRACTOR will adhere to all COMPANY’s policy and procedures in relation to labor and working conditions including commitments to equal opportunity employment and avoidance of child labor.  
  • Assist Local SCM Team in advertising suitable available contracts for goods and services in local and regional media, establish contacts with the local Chamber of Commerce and business associations and engage in other similar activities, so as to provide the opportunity for local suppliers and contractors to seek and obtain sub-contractor roles and/or supply of materials, equipment and services to the Project.
  • Undertake a socio-economic and health appraisal of worker accommodation options for the onshore workforce prior to taking any decision on accommodation options. Scope of appraisal to be agreed with COMPANY and implementation of appraisal to be coordinated with COMPANY.
  • Support HR and General Management Team in the development, implementation and adherence to workers Code of Conduct for both onshore and offshore workforce, particularly in relation to interactions with, and impacts upon, local communities. This applies in relation to working and living arrangements onshore and also to offshore workers when transiting from vessel to onward destination during shift change.
  • Oversee all facilities operations, maintenance, repair, cleanliness of the office, safe storage of archived files and unused equipment ensuring good stock of various office supplies and stationery by placing orders as required.
  • Coordinate and Manage with Regional Communications team for the internal office communication plan, bulletin boards, and office branding
  • Manage, coordinate and follow up on the registration, renewal and payments of Company membership in commerce chambers, attendance of conference shows, exhibitions and events.
  • Building up a zipper-gram file for all Company clients and business partners contacts, ensuring the updated names, titles and contacts with building relation with Client Management.
  • Develop and manage the country SharePoint and regional communication initiatives/implementations, in accordance with the communication team and compliance with process and procedures.
  • Manage the communication vendors as Account Manager, to ensure smooth operations including cost controlling of employees mobile lines, payments of invoices, issuance of new lines, data cards …etc.
  • Manage In-country internal/external events conferences and townhalls.

Facilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure facilities meet the needs of the organization and comply with relevant regulations, standards and Ergonomics.
  • Ensure and assist with IT regional department and vendors the, IT stock, server room and equipment required are managed properly delivered and handled safely.
  • Develop and maintain long relationships with office and travel vendors including negotiating rates in accordance with SCM department and ensuring high-quality services is delivered.
  • Develop and manage facility budget, including regular review of expenses and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage all Office related purchases in coordination with the SCM Team.
  • Coordinate in assistance with the Reception of office logistics, deliveries and shipments with projects and disciplines, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery between offices, vendors, banks and in country sites.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Proven 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal effective communication skills in both English and Turkish.
  • SAP experience is a plus.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic working environment.
  • Strong Leadership, organizational, Problem solving and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
