Our Chemicals team oversees our chemical technology solutions for hydrocarbon and gas production, transportation, and processing. We are a leader in oil and water separation technology and in solutions to control corrosion, scale, wax, souring and bacteria. We provide chemicals and support for integrity management, flow assurance, and production optimization, manage water treatment, and resolve environmental issues.
Take Ownership for our Customers
As a Field Specialist – Chemicals, you’ll ensure to run sampling and testing on chemical laboratory. You’ll prepare and provide reporting as well as you’ll take ownership on managing the lab included reviewing procedure and lab housekeeping. You’ll be working to support our operation on-call basis as per Supervisor’s advice.
As a Field Specialist – Chemicals, you’ll be responsible for:
Providing support for the product segments, technical selling, key field product applications, production troubleshooting, facility laboratory, inventory management and flow diagnostics
Leading with product market introductions and field trails
Investigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action
Handling special projects that directly assigned to you by people leaders
Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values

To be successful in this role you will:
Be based locally with ability to work on-call basis as assigned by Supervisor
Have at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Science or related subjects
Demonstrate good and direct experience of working in chemicals, especially in Chemical Laboratory
Be able to work and well communicate with others in oral & written communication
Show proficient knowledge of product segments and proper application of products
Have good understanding production from down hole to pipeline distribution
Show proficient use of computer-based programs related to application of products
