About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the Land Access & Approvals team based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will ensure that Santos’ compliance with financial and contractual commitments made to landholders is met. This will be achieved through the analysis of contractual documents, supporting information and the financial commitments.
Key accountabilities include:
- Processing of a range of payment types such as upfront, annual and adhoc, in accordance with the contractual requirements.
- Preparation and drafting of invoices and related correspondence.
- Analysis of Landholder Annual Compensation.
- Responsible for the Upstream Water and Gravel Volumes payments to landholders on a monthly basis.
- Execution of cancellation notices where infrastructure has been terminated.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance and Control of land access contracts and documents.
- Championing the Land Access CRM, to ensure the reliability and accuracy of all landholder and contract information including timeframes and review dates.
About you
The successful candidate will ideally hold a Tertiary qualification in a relevant area of Finance, Accounting or relevant financial experience. You will possess Strong Contract and Economic analysis skills, demonstrating a high level of practical experience in finance / accounting, as well computing skills and the ability to effectively utilise support systems. It is not essential that you have previous experience within the field of Land Access.
In addition, you will also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong planning and workload prioritisation skills, with a very strong attention to detail. An understanding of rural communities, rural land practices and the agricultural sector would be looked upon favourably, as will an understanding of the resources sector and the supporting land access regimes in place. Experience within the Petroleum and / or property industry is preferred and Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is also highly regarded.
This position will suit a proactive, organised, analytical and inquisitive individual who is able to display a high-level of attention to detail and able to manage a wide array of tasks. A candidate with a background in Cost Control, Banking, Accounting or Finance would be ideal.
