The Fleet Associate will coordinate maintenance, logistics, inventory management, and other various Fleet duties for assigned and pool vehicles in the San Antonio Division. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of responsibility:
 
  1. Monitor maintenance and recall activity and coordinate repair efforts with both internal employees and external vendors to ensure compliance and safety of 400+ light duty truck fleet.
  2. Assist in forecasting yearly replacement schedule and ascertain rig up needs from managers and supervisors.
  3. Process and verify invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors.
  4. Convey driver and vehicle information to multiple internal departments as necessary.
  5. Monitor and maintain division vehicle GPS accounts and provide reporting to internal departments as needed.
  6. Oversee and manage data captured on various external applications to ensure consistency.
  7. Forecast, manage, and distribute monthly budgetary reports. 
  8. Convey vehicle incident and accident details and reports to Risk Management and Safety immediately.
  9. Establish a rapport with internal departments and external vendors.
  10. Take an active role in scrutinizing underutilized inventory for.
                                                                                                                    
This role will require an in-depth understanding of the Division’s operational areas; and include the need for ongoing communications with all areas of operations to ensure that the daily vehicle needs are met on a timely basis. The Fleet Associate will need to perform the above duties with little supervision or oversight.

High School diploma or GED is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 3+ years of experience within the Fleet industry is preferred. DOT knowledge and experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, along with ability to multi-task and reprioritize workload in a dynamic working environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. This position will involve travel to field locations and vendor facilities. Position requires some on-call duties on nights and weekends.
