The Foreman Production is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of production personnel. The role assists with budget review and monitoring, production review and monitoring, troubleshooting of wells, and analysis of mechanical failures. The role identifies opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement, and implements measures to enhance overall production performance. The role enforces safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment, conducting regular safety inspections, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate hazards. The role provides performance and salary reviews of personnel, takes disciplinary action if necessary, and promotes and builds a culture of psychological safety and inclusion.
Job Description:
• Supervises on site field operations of the organization’s operated properties including daily production and operation and maintenance of production facilities.
• Leads and supervises a team to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations, overseeing day-to-day operations and personnel development.
• Identifies opportunities for improvements in production, cost efficiencies, and/or other problem areas (i.e., artificial lift mechanical problems and optimization, electrical troubleshooting, and chemical use, etc.) and takes necessary action.
• Takes a leadership role in the ORR process.
• Ensures regulatory compliance in field operations, maintains a safe and ethical work environment, and mentors, trains, and develops staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Utilizes the organization’s lease profit and loss statements and other sources of data as part of the identification of opportunities and provides recommendations to the Superintendent and Operations Engineer in the areas requiring engineering support and/or analysis.
• Provides field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences and demonstrates and promotes safe and ethical behavior at all times.
• Supports in analyzing production budgets to ensure adherence to financial targets and in monitoring expenditures related to production activities to identify areas for cost optimization.
• Guides and mentors the team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes.
• Investigates mechanical failures or equipment breakdowns to determine causes and prevents recurrence and analyzes data from equipment inspections, maintenance records, and failure reports to identify trends and patterns.
Education:
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education and/or commensurate work experience is required. Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or any other related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
• 6+ years of relevant experience with 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Production, Completions/ Workover Processes, and Artificial Lift, Rod Pump, Gas Lift, and/or Plunger Lift Operations. or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
