The position
By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare, carry out and conclude negotiations to buy/sell gas and related services with counterparties.
Follow up and maintain Upstream Optimisation’s existing contract portfolio.
Perform analytical work to identify new business opportunities.
Collaborate closely together with the rest of Gas & Power.
Create terms of contracts and ensure consistent collaboration with external and internal stakeholders.
The Gas & Power (GP) business cluster in MMP is responsible for trading and marketing of gas, power and emissions together with related derivative trading. Business is conducted at the GP offices in Stavanger, London, Stamford (US), Singapore and Brussels.
Gas Trading and Optimisation (GTO) is a trading business unit within Gas & Power and is responsible for trading Equinor’s and SDFI’s natural gas production and managing the exposure and profit and loss for the related natural gas books including third party volumes.
In this position you will be part of the Upstream Optimisation (UO) team within GTO. The team is based in Stavanger and is a commercial unit responsible for creating value by negotiating and concluding bilateral deals. This includes buying and selling natural gas at the fields, processing plants or within Gassled and buying and selling Gassled transportation capacities. UO is working in close collaboration with the rest of GTO and GP in order to explore opportunities and extract maximum value from the equity production, flexibiltiy related to transportation and third party deals.

A master’s degree within a relevant area preferably financial, economical or mathematical.

Strong contractual, analytical, digital and numerical skills.
