Overview

Aramco is seeking an experienced professional in the field of gas separation science to join the Oil & Gas Treatment R&D Division of the Research and Development Center (R&DC), which is responsible for conducting pioneering research, introducing new technologies, and providing specialized technical services that will enhance Saudi Aramco profitability and productivity in a cost-effective, timely and collaborative manner.
 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead execution of research programs that focus on developing novel technologies in the area of natural gas processing
Lead multiple technology development projects related to natural gas processing
Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes/organizations in the development of natural gas treatment technologies in upstream surface facilities.
Lead planning and execution of capital technology demonstration projects
Provide technical guidance during complex troubleshooting for gas processing plants.
Liaise with relevant corporate stakeholders to ensure in-house technology options deployment
Develop technology roadmaps and strategies to ensure prompt technology delivery 
Identify licensing opportunities of in-house developed technologies
Conduct full feasibility studies on novel technologies, including chemical, mechanical, and thermal options, to guarantee maintaining natural gas processing at the lowest cost. 
Conduct outlook studies of emerging technologies in the field of natural gas processing
 

Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry with background on midstream natural gas treatment, recovery and utilization processes.
Minimum of 25 years of experience in R&D relevant to midstream natural gas treatment technologies.
Relevant list of publications and patents.
Proven track record of conducting advanced technical projects with an ability to connect basic science research with industrial applications. 
Hands-on experience in field operation and engineering projects 
Knowledge of gas separation process designs and engineering terminologies
Vision, drive, and entrepreneurship spirit to develop new technologies and products.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
