Head of Project Engineering 

My client, a highly reputable organisation is looking for a Head of Project Engineering to join their team in Qatar!

Are you a seasoned engineering professional with a passion for driving complex capital projects from concept to commissioning? We have an exciting opportunity for a senior Project Engineering leader!

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a single point of responsibility for managing multi-disciplinary capital projects
• Develop and execute effective contracting strategies
• Implement robust project controls for scope, schedule, budget, and resources
• Proactively manage project risks and provide regular progress reporting to senior management
• Ensure comprehensive QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) Management Systems
• Lead complex technical and contractual problem resolution
• Manage stakeholder interfaces, including government approvals and certifications
• Oversee project tendering processes and bid evaluations
• Support professional development of project engineering teams

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Professional engineering/project management association membership advantageous
• 15+ years total experience, including:
– 10 years in energy/industrial sector
– 5+ years in team management or similar leadership role
• Proven track record in project management across all project lifecycle stages
• Strong skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making
• Excellent communication and team-building capabilities
