Energy Engineer High Voltage – Cables and Lines
What You’ll Do:
As an Energy Engineer High Voltage – Cables & Lines, you’ll design cable and line connections from the basic to detailed design stages. Collaborating with colleagues across pipelines and high-voltage departments, you’ll balance customer requirements, regulations, and environmental considerations. You’ll work on open excavation cable laying and trenchless techniques like horizontal directional drilling (HDD), ensuring alignment with stakeholders such as water boards, municipalities, and other cable and pipeline owners.
Your Responsibilities:
Advise on tracing new cable and line connections.
Prepare technical specifications and work packages per customer requirements.
Review and ensure compliance with calculations and drawings.
Coordinate and monitor technical interfaces between all parties.
Serve as the point of contact for technical issues.
Guarantee quality and adherence to applicable standards.
Where You’ll Work:
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary national high-voltage team, tackling diverse projects like grid expansions, substations, and industrial energy solutions. Projects often involve public and private lands, requiring collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. With offices across the Netherlands and Belgium, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home or at a location that suits you.
What You Bring:
A technical HBO/WO degree in Electrical, Energy, Civil/Construction, or similar.
3+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical skills to identify risks in technical designs.
Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus or must be learned quickly).
Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills.
A proactive, critical, and solution-driven mindset.
