Summary

The HSE Business Analyst Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the HSE Business Analyst in delivering HSE system functional support with primary focus HSE business data and HSE business systems sustainment and improvement. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and supporting the HSE Business System, focusing on data entry and routine data management tasks aligned with the HSE Management System
  • Assist in the configuration, updates, and maintenance of the SAP HSE module to ensure it meets business needs efficiently
  • Support the preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly HSE/MOC statistical reports
  • Effectively manage and maintain SAP and Outlook distribution lists, ensuring accurate and timely HSE and MOC communications reach the appropriate stakeholders
  • Support the HSE Business Analyst in analyzing and updating business processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency
  • Aid in analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement within HSE and Drilling operations
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data reporting templates and metrics
  • Provide support in the assimilation, tracking, and trending of safety incidents and performance metrics
  • Troubleshoot system issues to ensure continuity and accuracy in data management and reporting
  • Assist with gathering of data for analyzing business processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Provide logistical support during the implementation of system enhancements and process improvements
  • Assist with coordinating meetings to discuss and facilitate MOC implementation with subject matter experts, MOC owners, and operations personnel
  • Support and facilitate timely action completion throughout the MOC process
  • Assist with reporting to facilitate timely completion of all MOC actions and documentation
  • Assist in researching and communicating developments in HSE best practices
  • Perform other HSE function support tasks as needed

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic understanding of Canada and USA regulatory policies related to HSE
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience in SAP preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with teams and support cross-functional projects
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in data handling

 

Education

  • An Associate degree in a related field is preferred

 

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in HSE or related field, with exposure to business analysis and data management
