DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The HRBP is responsible for the provision of a flexible and professional HR service to Line/Functional Management and employees, through full alignment of employee related strategies, Subsea 7 policies, and relevant legislation.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIESGeneral Responsibilities
Develop constructive and professional relationships with local stakeholders and HR colleagues within Subsea7.
Provision of HR support to assigned areas of the business.
Efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of HR activities, always considering the impact of local employment legislation.
Support the standardisation, compliance and efficiency of HR policies, processes, and systems across Subsea7.
Support HR plans and strategy.
Ensure the implementation and adherence to Subsea 7’s professional tools, policies, systems, and processes.
Ensure that all HR data for employees within remit is accurate and up to date.
Ensure that HR capitalises on lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice; striving to mitigate risk, promote safety and integrity.
Participate in Regional and Global HR initiatives as and when required.
Resourcing
Support line managers and Recruiters in the recruitment process with the Recruitment Approval Matrix and making salary recommendations.
Coordination and facilitation of appropriate selection processes in line with Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
Provision of Job Capsule Descriptions or Role Profiles for recruitment purposes.
Ensure all employment contracts issued are in line with Company policies and Country legislative requirements.
Coordination and induction process for all new starters and associated record keeping.
Facilitation of the exit procedure and ensuring that all exit interviews and performed and filed.
Completion of paperwork for Employee Services for all new starters and leavers in a timely fashion.
Manage all immigration processes and ensure that all employees have the correct work visa for Malaysia and are employed under required terms and conditions.
Learning & Development
Identify and set up agreements with local training providers to deliver skill building and professional development training.
Support HR Development Manager to liaise with employees and Functional Managers to identify and book training as per requirements.
Support the annual performance review process, providing guidance to Managers and employees as required.
HR Support
Maintain relationships with industry bodies and external HR community in Kuala Lumpur.
Provide an advisory service to Line and Functional Managers about disciplinary and termination processes.
Conduct bi-annual review of Employee Handbook to ensure it complies with relevant legislation and current Company practices.
Maintain contact with outbound expatriates and report back any issues to Functional Manager and HR Manager.
Liaise with and provide information to Vialto Partners, external auditors and relevant Government bodies as required.
Other activities as directed by HR Manager / HR Director.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
Tertiary or similar qualification in Human Resources.
Attention to detail.
Able to juggle a variety of tasks at once.
The ability to prioritise work and meet multiple deadlines.
Professional presentation.
