As the Integrated Solutions Planning Engineer you will provide technical input to the well construction, completions, well intervention and abandonment phases, from the concept and tendering stage through project commencement, execution and project close out.  You will take ownership of preparing well design, technical requirements and operational plans to accomplish Baker Hughes and customer’s technical and financial goals. The integrated Solutions Planning Engineer drives close engagement with service delivery, HSE, finance, commercial and sales amongst many other product lines and disciplines.

As an Integrated Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the client to find the best well construction solutions along the Norwegian Continental Shelf
  • Conducting risk reviews, route cause analysis, technical planning and business adhering to critical rating with project managers and engineers in house and within the client to drive progress on integrated well projects standards and processes
  • Participating in tender bid reviews and preparation process for well engineering input
  • Preparing well design, well plan and operational procedures for construction, drilling, completion and intervention
  • Defining technical services and third-party requirements and preparing operational time and cost estimates
  • Monitoring daily progress and complying with data management procedures
  • Preparing all technical reports related to the project including End of Well Report, after action reviews and lessons learned summaries
  • Keeping abreast of technological and engineering process advancements through affiliation with professional societies and participation in networks, workshops, and training courses

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be Degree qualified in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Have significant experience in well construction, drilling, completions, intervention or casing design with offshore experience of semi-subs
  • Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across a variety of functions and disciplines
  • Have excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information
  • Be fluent in English oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into concise messages
  • Be adept at presenting information, making recommendations and asking the tough questions objectively
  • Have MS office suite, power BI or other analytical tools, well engineering and design software
