Are you a legal graduate looking for your next role? A global leading engineering organisation for the design, construction and operation of innovative, sustainable onshore and offshore plants and infrastructure is seeking a Junior Legal Advisor to work on a permanent staff basis in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

Reporting to the Regional Legal Affairs Manager, you will play an integral role in mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance for Business Lines and Operating Companies. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in international legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, APAC, and North America.


Key Responsibilities: Junior Legal Advisor

– Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across diverse business operations and projects.

– Provide expert legal support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

– Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to effectively resolve disputes through arbitration, negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

– Conduct comprehensive research on complex legal issues, staying informed on legal developments and providing well-founded advice based on statutes, judicial precedents, legal articles, treaties, and codes of law.

– Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and local laws across all business units and operating companies.

– Maintain and enhance the legal department’s knowledge base, ensuring ready access to relevant legal information and best practices.

– Oversee the engagement and performance of external legal firms, ensuring cost-effective and efficient legal services.

– Foster strong relationships across different levels of the organisation.

– Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Key Requirements: Junior Legal Advisor

– Degree in Law

– 2-5 years experience in a similar setting/role.

– Professional qualification in law (SQE, LPC, BVC, or equivalent)

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

– Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus
