Position: Lead Civil Structural Engineer Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands Contract Duration: 12-month renewable

Overview: Our client is seeking a Lead Civil Structural Engineer to join their team in Rotterdam on a 12-month renewable contract. This role involves overseeing technical development, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring project quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical aspects of projects and secure client approval.
• Align plans of action with key stakeholders.
• Schedule meetings with internal and external clients to discuss timelines, reporting, and delivery dates.
• Ensure project deliverables meet client specifications, quality standards, and defined requirements.
• Plan work distribution and supervise project team members effectively.
• Support designers and engineers throughout project phases.
• Create conceptual and complex designs, collaborating with other disciplines when needed.
• Review and verify concrete and steel drawings, designs, and calculations prepared by team members.
• Provide guidance and decisions in exceptional situations where standard procedures may not apply.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and suppliers, ensuring project objectives are met and any scope changes are identified and communicated.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work independently, oversee projects, and manage a team.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry standards.
• Experience with calculation tools such as SCIA Engineer and Technosoft.
• Ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge as needed.
• Experience with Tekla Structures (Trimble) and Autodesk Revit is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with writing STABU specifications is a plus.
• Experience conducting construction and civil inspections per NEN2767 standards is desirable.
• VCA VOL certification is required.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
