Lead Decommissioning Structural Engineer

Our Client has a requirement for a Lead Decommissioning Structural Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis Outside IR35 in Aberdeen.

Role Purpose:

• Provide technical expertise for the structural aspects of facilities decommissioning in the energy sector.
• Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new and temporary infrastructure and modifications to facilitate decommissioning of facilities in the energy sector.
• Provide technical input to estimates for project work scopes.
• Provide decommissioning expertise in the support of tenders
• Project management of structural scope(s).
• Provide Structural expertise in decommissioning scope execution and tender activities.
• Develop project-specific decommissioning processes and procedures.
• Attend and input to progress and planning meetings.
• Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process.
• Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets.
• Produce structural calculations and analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS.
• Provide checking and approval of discipline documents, complete interdisciplinary checking of documents where necessary. 
• Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues (close working relationship with construction team to ensure fit-for-purpose, construction-led structural solutions are developed and implemented.
• Production of discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs.
• Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards ensure they are not compromised by any discipline engineering activities.
• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
• Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate.
• provides technical assurance and oversight on structural design scope.
• coordinates structural design resource in line with project requirements.
