Lead Decommissioning Structural Engineer

Remote Working (You may be required to visit the client’s Aberdeen office)

6 Month Contract (outside IR35)

 

(Please note, this is a contract position. This means you will need to have all relevant Right To Work documents in place)

 

As the role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

 

Scope of Services:

 

·         Provide technical expertise for the structural aspects of facilities decommissioning in the energy sector.

·         Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new and temporary infrastructure and modifications to facilitate decommissioning of facilities in the energy sector.

·         Provide technical input to estimates for project work scopes.

·         Provide decommissioning expertise in the support of tenders.

·         Project management of structural scope(s)

·         Provide Structural expertise in decommissioning scope execution and tender activities.

·         Develop project-specific decommissioning processes and procedures.

·         Attend and input to progress and planning meetings.

·         Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process.

·         Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets.

·         Produce structural calculations and analysis.

·         Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS.

·         Provide checking and approval of discipline documents, complete interdisciplinary checking of documents where necessary. 

·         Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues (close working relationship with construction team to ensure fit-for-purpose, construction-led structural solutions are developed and implemented)

·         Production of discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs

·         Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards ensure they are not compromised by any discipline engineering activities.

·         Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards

·         Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate.

·         Provide technical assurance and oversight on structural design scope.

·         Coordinate structural design resource in line with project requirements.

·         Survey reports.

·         Structural design calculations 

·         Structural design and analysis reports

·         Input to project execution plans.

·         Input to project basis of design documents.

·         Input to concept study / FEED reports, including the development of discipline cost, schedule and deliverables.

·         Requisition (including SDRL)

·        Construction and destruct/decommissioning work pack input

·      Weight control reports

·      Presentations sketches etc. To assist in scope communications

·      Marked up photographs and sketches for use in decommissioning/destruct work-packs

·      Technical notes summarizing structural findings

·      Technical queries seeking input from external parties

·      Input to lifting methodologies/plan

·      Input to transportation and installation key deliverables
