The Lead Project Planner will be responsible for either a large subsea project or multiple smaller subsea projects. They will also be accountable for the schedule quality and project on-time delivery. They will receive extensive training to learn the standard project planning processes in place and to reach cross product line planning expertise.
As a Lead Project Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling management: The planner is in charge of the overall project schedule management ensuring its quality (logic, clarity) and accuracy (update of dates, reflexion of the scope of supply).
- Coordinating: the planner will be collaborating with the other planners (product line planner & engineering planners) allocated to the project as well as with the execution functions (engineering, procurement, manufacturing) to ensure overall quality and accuracy of the schedule.
- Supporting Project Management: working with the project manager you will provide then visibility on look ahead of tasks to be performed in the 3 – 6 weeks), risks in schedules and mitigation actions and opportunities in the schedule. You will provide relevant reports to project management to ensure the Project Manager has all the tools required to make the right decisions driving on time and on budget project execution.
- Supporting Customers: the planner will interact with the customer to provide update on schedule as well as explain the current situation / challenges / opportunities.
- Implementation the integrated project planning initiatives the planner will adhere to the approved processes and proactively drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in project planning, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Have Expertise in use of the Primavera P6 planning tool. Additional knowledge of MRP would also be advantageous.
- Possess expertise in planning of a large scale projects.
- Have demonstrable leadership and great interpersonal skills.
