Line Locator

Airswift is looking for a Line Locator to work with a major company in Kermit, TX on a short-term assignment (3 months).
The Line Locator will be responsible for identifying and marking the locations of underground oil, gas, and water pipelines. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will work primarily out of our Kermit, TX location or our Ramsey facility near Orla, TX. The job will be Monday-Friday. 8 hours a day.
Key Responsibilities:

• Use specialized equipment to locate and mark underground oil, gas, and water pipelines.
• Interpret and understand utility maps, blueprints, and diagrams to accurately locate utilities.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Document and report findings accurately.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent damage to utilities.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in utility locating preferred.
• Previous experience as a line locator, particularly in the oil, gas, or water industries.
• Knowledge of and experience with utility locating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
