What role you will play in our team

 

As an LNG Contracts Manager, you will form an integral part of our Global LNG Optimisation and Trading team and will be supporting ExxonMobil’s growing equity LNG business.

What you will do

 

The key responsibilities for the LNG Contracts Manager will be:

 

  • Draft, review and negotiate LNG Master Sale and Purchase Agreements, Confirmation Notices and term sheets for physical cargo purchase and sales between own affiliates and third parties
  • Coordinate and manage overall contract negotiation process, including review and input from commercial, operations, finance, legal and other internal stakeholders
  • Support the continuous improvement of ExxonMobil’s pro-forma LNG Master Sale and Purchase Agreements’ contract terms
  • Provide expert advice to LNG physical traders in Singapore and Europe on contract terms and commercial issues, including term sheets
  • Work alongside LNG physical traders in contract negotiations
  • Support the mentoring and onboarding of less experienced team members in the area of LNG contracting

About You

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Fluency in written and verbal English 
  • Relevant experience in handling LNG trading contracts
  • Fluency in any Asian or European language
  • Commercial and transactional experience in the LNG industry 
  • Strong negotiating, communication, interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Well organized and able to work independently, prioritise workload and manage tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a large, global, multicultural business and a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • A degree in Law
  • Deep understanding of LNG physical transactions, contracts and market practice
  • Keen attention to detail; able to Analyse contract terms, identify risks/issues and provide commercially pragmatic recommendations to bridge gaps to support business objectives
