As a Machine Shop Technician (d/f/m), you will working within the machine shop team manufacturing internal parts for flexible pipe end fittings. You will operating and programming CNC and manual lathes and milling machines.
You will also supporting production engineering manufacturing one off bespoke designs.
As a Machine Shop Technician (d/f/m), you will be responsible for:
Reading and checking Engineering Drawings
Following written SOI, COI’s along with verbal instructions with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with engineers and management
Managing to reverse Engineer supplied parts (for rework/replacement purposes)
Using a range of Machining equipment and power tools like manual & CNC lathes and milling machines
Using a range of Machining equipment and power tools like surface grinding/bench fitting
Demonstrating and collaborating with creative ideas for more effective working practices
Taking an active lead on incorporating safety improvements, lean improvements, and Kaizen improvement
Taking a lead on HSE, always following the Baker Hughes safety culture

To be successful in this role you will:
Have successfully completed your Vocational Training Mechanical Technician/Tool Maker, apprenticeship graduates are equally welcome
Be experience in Microsoft Office and able to learn new technology and software quickly
Have a safety focused attitude
Be able to operate overhead cranes (training will be provided)
