Job Summary

Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.2 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2022. The company produced an average of 200 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2022. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Description
As the Alaska Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for delivering value, and protecting the company and functional excellence through partnering with leadership in executing the BU strategy. This will include contracting strategy development that aligns with the BU long-range plan, optimizing the flow of materials, equipment, and services to execute the operational program for wells, O&M, capital projects and supporting the Willow development and its integration to the program.
You will report to the VP of North Slope and have direct supervision of a team of 6 supply chain leaders. You will also be part of a larger supply chain organization that consists of 50 employees across different functions and locations.
In addition, you will be accountable for managing the supply chain spend value of $1.5B, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations, building, and maintaining strong supplier relationships, and driving innovation and value creation across the supply chain.

Job Description

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Lead teams responsible for all aspects of source to contract, procure to pay, post-award contract management, compliance and delivering excellence within the supply chain organization
  • Ensure an effective compliance program is in place to meet internal and external standards and processes
  • Leading team in developing contracting strategies that deliver value in the BUS’s execution of their long -term strategies
  • Robust Post Award Contract Management (PACM) ensuring alignment between internal stakeholders and suppliers in the delivery of our objectives
  • Ensuring informed decisions are made through data analytics and engagement with market intelligence team
  • Ensuring a robust Supplier Diversity program through engagement with Alaska Native Corporations (ANC)
  • Member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team ensuring functional alignment with corporate supply chain
  • Member of the Talent Management Team (TMT), led by the CPO, that are responsible for supply chain employees and managing skills critical to business success

Basic/Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Wells, Projects or relevant field
  • 10+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Advanced level of knowledge of supply chain processes, principles, and standards
  • Demonstrated change management skills in leading organizational change
  • Demonstrated delivery of value through partnerships with suppliers and business stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in managing global and complex supply chains, involving multiple suppliers, customers, and locations
  • Knowledgeable on supply chain related ESG topics including supplier diversity, emissions etc
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Proven change management skills in delivering transformational change
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of supply chain professionals
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, to plan and execute effective supply chain strategies and solutions
  • Collaboration and relationship-building skills, to work effectively with internal and external partners, such as suppliers, customers, contractors, and regulators
