Summary

The Manager of Equipment Operation Services for Precision Rentals will oversee and manage Precision Rentals’ equipment fleet and maintain a professional relationship with current and new maintenance vendor relationships.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the maintenance staff, ensuring that all requisite tasks are handled quickly and efficiently within budget restraints
  • Set and maintain the standard of Safety Excellence by working with front line workers, management and the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department to ensure Precision continues as a leader in safety (“Target Zero”). Ensure active participation in the Precision Observation, Hazard I.D., and Incident Reporting
  • Travel around the province when needed
  • Perform various types of repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Communicate effectively with employees, engineers, vendors and third-party contractors
  • Fully understand the company processes, systems and equipment fleet
  • Control and track asset inventory, as well as maintaining adequate parts and tools while maintaining cost-effective operations
  • Coordinate and oversee shop repairs specific to solids control, including working with PR shop foreman(s) on a daily/weekly basis
  • Ensure equipment is repaired and rebuilt to company standards, as well as ensure all equipment records are completed and maintained
  • Use the electronic tracking system to create and confirm equipment coming in and out of various worksites
  • Update and maintain information in Precision’s records systems and department databases
  • Work closely with accounts payable, prepare monthly reports and budgeting
  • Create and maintain budgets, costs, and reviews for work orders

 

Knowledge & Skills

Computer skills, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, email, and Programming Languages, including ladder and scripted text is an asset

Knowledge of SAP is preferred

Strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices

 

Education & Experience

High school diploma/GED Completion

5-7 years of experience in the solids control industry

Secondary education in trades with applicable tickets is preferred

Strong mechanical background and aptitude
