On behalf of a major EPC company WRS are looking for a Marine Coordinator to join the team in the Paris Area on an exciting new project in Africa
Long term contract 
Mainly onshore with missions offshore 
Office based in Paris Area 

OVERVIEW:

  • Provides Support and Assistance to the  LNG Project Operations Management Team on Marine Fleet Assurance, Operational Coordination, and Dynamic Positioning matters.
  • The Marine Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation and execution of Vessel Inspections (Internal, Client Marine, Client Marine Warranty Surveyor, OVID certification), Action Follow Up, Acceptance and Safe and Reliable Marine Operations on Site for the Project Fleet (Circa 40 Vessels)

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Operations Preparation

  • Support the LNG Project Operations Management Team in the definition of the specification for chartering of 3rd party vessels, review of offers, and final selection.
  • Provide support and assistance to Project Team on Marine and DP issues, input into project work scopes and risk assessment / hazard identification processes and documentation.
  • Provide support and assistance to project team on ports review for vessel access

Vessels Inspections and Acceptance

  • Liaise with Vessels Marine Management Departments (VSO) and 3rd Party Vessels) to ensure compliance with Legislation and Clients Specifications including OVID certification, Industrial Relations, and Marine Warranty requirements.
  • If required, carry out Vessel inspections, provide accurate reports indicating Vessel and documentation status.

During Operations

  • Attends Meetings with Clients and Port Authorities as required.
  • Keep regular contacts with Vessel master’s and Chief Engineers, ensure Project and Client Marine Procedures are properly followed 
  • Keep regular contacts with Port Authorities, ensure smooth and safe Marine Operations in Local Ports
  • Monitor and Report on Fleet Situation to Project Operations Management Team especially on Vessels ETA on Site 
  • Monitor all Marine incident reports, ensure proper follow up and close-out.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge in Marine and Dynamic Positioning Legislation and Operations preferably on Pipelay and Construction Vessels
  • Experience in Vessel Audits and Inspections especially for Major Oil and Gas Operator Marine Acceptance, Marine Warranty Surveyor Acceptance, and OVID Process Compliance
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal in English. Any skills in French, Portuguese, Dutch, and Norwegian all considered an asset.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint/File-Sharing
  • Accuracy and attention to details including close checking and monitoring of all
  • Master Mariner / Captain with experience on Dynamically Positioned Pipelay / Construction Vessels preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally.

JOB LOCATIONS

  • Based in offices in Paris 
  • 3 days a week in the office minimum 
  • Travel globally, as required to perform necessary vessel audits and inspections described above between 2024 and 2027
  • Travel, as required, to the project region (Egypt, Batam, UAE, Pemba/Palma, Mozambique)
