What role you will play in our team

 

The EEPGL development project is located approximately 190 km (120 miles) off of the northeastern coast of Georgetown, Guyana in the Stabroek Block.  With Liz Phase 1 & 2 already producing, it is anticipated that production operations for Payara will commence in 3Q23.  Drilling, production, and export operations will require a large fleet (28-32) of support vessels including platform supply vessels, crew vessels, multipurpose subsea vessels, and tanker holdback tugs.

 

The Marine Operations Supervisor is responsible for all marine safety programs within EEPGL and implementation on the marine vessels.  The Marine Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations, long-term planning and optimization of the EEPGL marine fleet.  He or she will coordinate with offshore assets and Shorebase Supervisors to ensure that all offshore demands and requirements are met.  The Marine Operations Supervisor will work with the Marine Quality Advisor to schedule all required company inspections.  The Marine Operations Supervisor will work with vessel operators to ensure that all required vessel maintenance and inspections are scheduled and carried out.  He or she assists the Marine Logistics Coordinator with inspections of FuelTrax equipment and fuel management compliance on all vessels and at any fuel dock the vessels visit.  The Marine Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Marine Logistics Superintendent.

What you will do

 

The Marine Operations Supervisor’s key responsibilities include

  • Marine emergency response and Incident stewardship
  • Marine logistics compliance with OIMS and CIMS
  • Supervision of Marine Operations Lead & by extension POB Coordinators, Marine Operations Lead, Vessel Coordinator Lead, & by extension Vessel Coordinators
  • Provide holistic direction and leadership to Marine Team per Marine Superintendent vision
  • Supervise marine operations at EEPGL shore base and offshore facilities
  • Supervise Marine Vessel Control Center at shore base
  • Supervise Crew Change planning and execution
  • Supervise fleet and asset fuel operations in accordance with MFMBP
  • Manage operator interface and relationship to maximize fleet potential
  • Steward fleet  / bulk scheduling and optimization
  • Support Marine Quality Assurance program for Business Unit
  • Support Wells/Subsea team via MPV fleet
  • Support special projects and organizational improvement initiatives 
  • Support Marine Superintendent in ensuring marine logistics activities comply with international and local law, PSA and Venture agreements
  • Champion KABAL implementation and enhancements for Marine program
  • Application of POBP’s 
  • Enhancing career development of logistics personnel in line with Nationalization Plan

  • Key Stakeholders include WWV Guyana Drill Team, Guyana Project Teams and Guyana Production Unit
  • Key EM interfaces include Upstream Logistics COE, Shorebase Logistics, Wells, Subsea, Production 
  • Key Service Partners include Vessel Operators, SOL, Baker, Haliburton, Schlumberger, SBM, RAMPS
  • Additional interfaces; SMEs, HR, SHE, Noble, Stena, GYSBI, G-Port, Saipem 

About you

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Preferred, but not necessary:  BS in Marine Transportation or Engineering 
  • Preferred, but not necessary:  Familiarity with Drilling and/or Production operations
  • Minimum 15+ years industry experience, logistics preferred 

 

Technical and Specific Skills

 

  • Experience with integrating demands across multi-functional teams without direct control. Will require understanding of Functional tradeoffs and high level of judgment in order to align recommendations with EM best interest.
  • Proven supervision, mentoring and training experience with a multi-national workforce. 
  • Practical knowledge of ExxonMobil Safety, OIMS, and CIMS standards related to Logistics operations.  
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbally) to both senior management, peers, and subordinates
  • Experienced in cost management 
  • OSR knowledge and/or experience
  • Practical knowledge of Drilling and Production Operations, Programs, and Logistics
  • Practical knowledge of Production Best Practices (PBP)
