HYBRID ELIGIBILITY
This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Houston, TX. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.
POSITION SUMMARY
The individual will serve as the focal point between Operations, MR&I, TA’s/SME’s, discipline engineers, and supporting functions to help ensure Marine Structures Integrity Program (MSIP) activities and related regulatory requirements, are adhered to in accordance with the GOM-INTSTG-010022 GOM Integrity Management Strategy and supporting subordinate documents. The role’s primary focus is to support and assist with full life-cycle marine structures integrity management of the GOM assets through the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of appropriate standards, guidelines, processes, and associated tools. In addition, the position will provide direct supervision of delivery of the static pressure systems risk-based inspection program for GOM assets. Necessary for the success and quality of this support will be the ability to collaborate proficiently with a multi-disciplinary team including members within the Operations, MR&I, GSC, Regulatory, and EHS communities. This position will be full-time with periodic travel as necessary/requested.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for asset-related MSIP activities and anomaly management including Risk Assessments, Root Cause Analysis, Peer Reviews, and HAZIDs
- Responsible for providing input to the development, revision, implementation, and adherence to the GOM Integrity Management Strategy and subordinate documents
- Responsible for providing input to the development and/or revision of Marine Structures Integrity Performance Standards through direct collaboration with Technical Authorities
- Responsible for development/revisions/upkeep of the MSIP Integrated Activity Schedule, Synergi Integrity Threat cases, Anomaly Management, Risk Assessments (RA), and Integrity Operating Windows (IOW)
- Responsible for managing Marine Structures IM work processes including Risk Based Inspections (RBI) planning and execution
- Responsible for developing and managing asset-specific Marine Structures Integrity annual operating budgets and Life of Field (LOF) forecasts
- Responsible for developing required resource (supplier) plans and managing the Marine Structures Integrity support teams (i.e. Inspectors, Technical Assistants, Offshore Inspection Engineers, etc)
- Responsible for supporting PCMS application and MSIP updates
- Responsible for Identification and continuous improvement of Marine Structures Integrity KPI’s, metrics and other necessary data requirements to help prioritize and optimize Structural integrity program
- Responsible for developing and maintaining asset-specific, strategic, and tactical Marine Structures Integrity dashboards
- Responsible as the Technical Reviewer for relevant Integrity and Inspection services Commercial Orders for Goods and Services
QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications & Experience
- 10+ years of marine tank, mooring system(s), and UWILD inspection planning and Execution.
- HUET certification and Offshore Medical to remain valid through assignment
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Integrity project management including but not limited to project controls, cost and progress monitoring, Inspection and engineering contracts, 3rd party vendor management, project scoping, planning and execution, and variation order control
Competencies & Knowledge
- Intimate knowledge of IACS, ABS, LR, and DNV rules for vessels and MODU units. API RP2A, API RP2T, 2SIM, CRF250 Part 30, SOLAS, MARPOL.
- Intimate knowledge and experience of structural inspection, including,NDE philosophy/procedure methods and practicable application, (10+ years minimum).
- Intimate operational knowledge and experience of rope access, scaffolding, and confined space rules, training, and application requirements. Extensive experience of rescue planning and execution for confined space entry.
- Intimate knowledge of marine construction methods, their practicable application, and limitations and rule requirements.
- Intimate knowledge and experience of marine operations, including but not limited to, stability control, environmental and structural monitoring, boat management, and deck management.
- Intimate knowledge and experience in marine painting/tank painting and hull painting requirements. including but not limited to applicable products, preparation methods/requirements, and effective QA/QC and fabric maintenance quality management.
- Intimate knowledge and experience of subsea ROV and Splash zone Drone inspection methods/limitations, planning, and, execution. Including requirements for marinized visual and structural NDE inspection.
- Intimate knowledge and experience of structural risk-based integrity planning and execution. Be versed in Class requirements and API 580 requirements for qualitative RBI.
- Good understanding of structural assessment requirements, and finite element analysis (fatigue and fracture mechanics) to be able to manage assessment contractors / structural engineers and define assessment work scopes, deliverables, and expectations.
- Intimate knowledge of class and regulator requirements for marine safety systems and safety of life at sea equipment. • Intimate knowledge and experience of GoM work management systems including IAS, and SAP (Scheduling and reporting)
- Intimate knowledge and experience of the philosophy, application, and interpretation of NDE inspection techniques; Including but not limited to procedures, application limitations, planning/deployment requirements, probability of detection, and interpretation of their results. Applies to ultrasonic, radiological, and pulsed eddy current techniques
- Good working corrosion engineering knowledge and experience demonstrating an understanding of corrosion philosophy, types, controlling factors for causation and control, and modeling
- Intimate knowledge and experience of root cause analysis techniques, application, and process
- Intimate knowledge and experience with technology improvements with IM and marine structure inspections (i.e. Drone capabilities, 3D scan Artificial Intelligence, Defect Management, etc.)
- Intimate knowledge of operational processes such as MOC, permit to work, HAZID / HAZOP, task risk assessment
- Intimate knowledge Integrity Critical Elements (ICE), Barrier Management, Integrity Performance Standards, and Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
- Working user competence/experience of PCMS IMDB, be versed in creating and managing schedules, setting up hierarchy, component load, and data entry
- Intimate knowledge and experience of the process and marine system damage mechanisms, their causation and repair/remediation requirements per API 574, API 571, and ASME VIII
- Demonstrated capability to communicate, collaborate and influence others without direct authority
- Ability to conduct Marine Structures Integrity internal verification and third-party audits • Experience working with Lean Principles highly desired
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision as a self-starter in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment
