We are looking for a to join our team at Material Master Data Codification Test Lead on an initial 9-month contract based in Westhill, Aberdeen.

Subsea7 are embarking on a S/4HANA Trans4mation programme which involves replacing the current ECC solution with SAP S4 Hana together with the associated business process changes across Finance, SCM and Asset Management.

Subsea7 now want to bring additional Asset Management scope into the delivery timeframe of the Trans4mation programme. Two additional projects have been approved to be delivered in parallel to the Trans4mation programme:

 

  • Equipment and Tools Management (ETM) system. Third party SaaS tool to be designed, tested and deployed on top of SAP S4 together with the Subsea7 System Integrator partner. ETM will be deployed globally and provide the management and tracking of our equipment across yards, vessels and projects.
  • Material Codification. Third party AI-enabled SaaS tool to be designed, tested and deployed on top of SAP S4 together with the Subsea7 System Integrator partner. The tool will help create a material codification catalogue as well as assist in codifying any future free-text entries into S4.

 

There is a Test Lead for the Trans4mation programme who will oversee the delivery of the test activity for the core programme.

The EMT/ Codification Test Lead will be required to work closely with the Trans4mation Test Lead as well as project team personnel, delivery partners and key business stakeholders to formulate test strategy, develop testing plans and oversee the testing of the Asset Management solutions. 

 

What will you be doing?

  • Formulate programme test strategy and approach in conjunction with the solution integrator
  • Oversee and participate in the test preparation, execution, defect management and reporting for test cycles
  • Oversee successful delivery of solution integrator deliverables for the test workstream
  • Manage delivery of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase
  • Develop test workstream plan and manage testing activities to required quality and timescale
  • Effective engagement of business stakeholders to support all testing activities to realise a successful outcome
  • Own, manage and report on risks and issues across the testing workstream to ensure the programme successfully delivers expected outcomes and benefits
  • Ensure effective quality assurance across the testing workstream

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Experience in management of testing workstreams on ERP implementations
  • Experienced in defining testing strategy and approach
  • Demonstrates good knowledge of test methodologies and process
  • Experience in test plan development and status reporting
  • Experience in test defect management processes
  • Experienced in usage of test management tools
  • High communications skills both verbally and written
  • Pro-active, self-driven, forward looking, collaborative, good analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Good communication and negotiation skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders
  • Full SAP project lifecycle experience will be beneficial
  • Working knowledge in the functional areas of Finance, SCM and Asset Management will be beneficial
