Job Summary




What will you be doing?

The Engineer II will work within the project and product engineering group in Mobile, AL by actively contributing to design, manufacturing and delivery of subsea oil and gas umbilicals and distribution equipment.  An Engineer II will primarily support projects under minimal guidance with duties such as:

  • Coordinating development of design, models, and drawings as directed.  Evaluate effectiveness, safety, and economic impact of designs and develop recommendations to optimize results if required.
  • Development and delivery of project documentation including calculations, specifications, procedures and reports.
  • Technical support of procurement & sub-supplier activities
  • Direct interaction with client and end user
  • Support of onsite manufacturing and testing
  • Potential offshore support during installation phase of the project

Minimum Job Qualifications



  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, mechanical is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of technical experience.
  • Solid technical ability.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships.
  • Hands on approach to engineering.
  • Ability to interpret and insure adherence to applicable industry codes and client requirements such as API 17E, ISO and DNV.
  • Developed problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication of ideas and concepts and ability to explain detailed technical information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Competency with software such as SAP, SolidWorks, MathCAD and Excel.
